Fertilizer tarrifs sound like socialism for Nutrien, it's who you know .
They are connected to power , farmers are not.
.Sadly Conservatives probably would have done it too.
No other country put tarrifs on nitrogen
    Wonder why only Canada?

Because our idiots in power want us all to be organic homesteads again … that’s why

I have been prepping for Trudeau for 5 yrs. I can farm with out fertilizer. 1/3 in chem fallow. My stock portfolio will make up for that loss production. Then lentils followed by durum. All fixed nitrogen and organic matter.

What do I care if the world starves They voted for it.

Gotta fill the shed with glyphosate before they ban that too

Trudeau has gamed this perfect. Only way to stop it is to break up the country and Moe or whoever takes the reins in Ab won’t do it.

If there are tariffs on Nitrogen who collects them? And what is done with the money? Just another tax on the producer?

You sanctimonious prune. Sit here and shat on conservatives all day if you want but you’ll look like a fool and hypocritical when this junk comes into play. Half and half looks great in your neck of the woods on a hot and windy July day. Let’s forget which group of idiots you buy a membership with and think about your own personal survival of your family farm. This is beyond parties and political affiliation. If not I’ll sharpen the razor for you to cut your own throat fool.

Tariffs on imports means that the Federal Government can raise the carbon tax on Canadian Agriculture. Difficult to believe that they will get away with a $150/t on carbon, but if they tariff fertilizer imports … then it won’t kill domestic fertilizer production… they can exempt fertilizer exports.

Good plan. Lots of phos and maybe k if you need that as well. I have looked into rock phosphate sourced from Ontario. Maybe spread that with elemental sulphur and potash and grow a legume whether peas lentils beans alfalfa clover and then a cereal. Forget canola. This is survival mode for ag in Canada now. Screw all these climate change environmental nuts. They’ll get what they deserve cause I’m not wrecking my soil for a bunch of know nothing sanctimonious pricks who think they know better.

This should not be a surprise. Trudeau flat out said he was going to follow the WEF / UN climate policy a few years ago
A few of us shouted out the warnings
Guess what , no longer conspiracy , never was . It was all there and they said they were going to do this

The problem is all those things you will do to try and duck this is exactly what Trudeau wants you to do. He wins.

to be honest jazz... this should have been part of your f uck JT plan 5 yrs ago aswell.

These products are what allow you to escape farming for the grain Co's pocket book.

I used more products on this crop than any other I have used ever grown all trying to stay ahead of expensive inputs and falling prices.

This yr is going to be watershed for this industry. Trudeau will make organic farmers out of us yet.

I take it the big boys are down with collecting this tariff. No push back at all.
