Yes there was more Bison than there are cattle in Canada, but the herd did not stick to just Canada.
Interesting facts ...didn't know the bison herd was that large and was decimated to near extinction...amazing really that in that time period they killed the equivalent of the cattle herd in Canada ....

I think the estimates go anywhere from around 10 million to up to 65 and 75 million. Most accepted size is in the 30 range maybe? Been a while since I looked it up so numbers might be a bit off but something like that.

Either way the Bison numbers didn’t compete with current cattle numbers. Not surprising though.

Passenger Pigeons are another one, when you really think of the numbers of them that were around, yet they went extinct quickly. Makes you realize how much of an impact people can have in short periods of time.

Anyone that would cheer a govt plan to plant 2B trees in the name of climate change is an absolute idiot including our drooling media class and low IQ city voters.

Canada has 300B trees already. Thats almost 10,000 trees per person.

Here is some more info from Agriville's believe it or not department.

Modern Iceland’s Climate Is Colder With More Ice Than Any Other Time In The Last 8000 Years Except The 1800s. You know, that is the the baseline era for all climate change measurements, not coincidentally the coldest era in the last 8000 years was cherry picked as a starting point.

No cut and paste, just a link which includes links to the various studies which contirbuted to this finding:

Trees are old, rotting, falling over faster than the TURD can plant them!

I also have it on good authority that there are more trees in this area now, than likely any time in recent history. When the first settlers arrived, they didn't even have to clear the bush, it was all burnt, and had done so regularly so that it never got to the massive size it does now. We have spruce and poplar trees with 3 foot diameters now. Can't remove them with the D8. My grandpas generation was clearing with small cats, and grandpa piled brush with a JD D on steel, those weren't 3 foot diameter trees.
Pictures of the Rocky Mountain House historic site in the 1800's, not a tree on the horizon, surrounded by solid bush now. Satellite images on this area show the bush slowly creeping in from every fenceline, yardsite, slough etc within the satellite era.

And the media caters to sales numbers.
Over half of our google feeds are opinion not news. People cant differentiate with 3 second attention span.
I'm old enough to remember a newscast that had current events from around the world. Pay attention, not happening anymore.
Media has been suspect throughout history. But this time it's doing this to itself.
                      Critical thinking levels are low.
