I won't take away from your post by adding anything of my own.
    Thanks for the laughs.
    And the real world information.

My neighbor is currently on his way back from Lithuania where he paid for a hip replacement rather than wait in line for years in Canada.

Ten's of thousands of dollars left Canada's economy and into Lithuania's.

That is where the money will come from to pay for a parallel private system. We can keep these people at home spending their money in our economy.

Starting to feel it's a waste of breath.
For decades was told flatly that "it won't work" regarding grain.
Seeing the same in health discussion.
Almost 80 countries have some form of universal health care. (US does not.)
Canada only one where public mandated as only source. At or near the highest cost as well.
Time better spent in discussions with those of open mind or eager for change than the union crowd.

Lower back/hip pain becoming debilitating and don't even know what to do next.
Seems current diagnoses philosophies or pay regimen hinders real answers of any kind.
Lost faith when sent for gall bladder removal when in fact my lungs were full of clots.......lol.

BP it really sucks to get old!

Doesn't matter which health care system you have, they can't fix the reality of aging.

But at least you won't go broke without healthcare insurance and healthcare, like many of your poor american cousins!

Already spending $2000/ month for care for my son. $6000 for hearing aids because I was self employed. $1700 for glasses. Same with dental. Makes $1500/ month today for a premium seem okay. Wish I had what Land has. Maybe I wouldn't be in pain.
Here's to you and your families' excellent health, may it continue indefinitely Chuckpail.

I don’t know how people function on minimum and lower wage jobs that don’t have benefits.

Guy I know. His wife needed a kidney. $500,000 left Canada. She had one in two months.
I can count almost that much just from operations on people I know.
                  Left the country.
Paying doctors and staff and taxes.
The demand is going to the supply.
It's the last thing I want to do, yet.
                  But grateful for the option.

                    They fall through the cracks.
Until retirement and they get the minimum from the government.

No one with kids can afford a job without benefits.
