If the funds are there to build a private hospital , they are there for a public facility. Do you believe some are not deserving of care? You are better than that. I hope your recovery goes well.

Don’t quite understand that to be honest everyone deserves care some pay private some can’t pay public can’t get line of thinking must be medications.

Meals are bellisimo fully cooked wonderful breakfast just consumed.

Drain comes out of back 2 this arvo 8.30am now a few Physio session two different Physio so a different set of eyes on public. Possibly some walking in heated pool tommorow to test things out.

Where would you find this special pot of money to build a private hospital? Would it be from profits operating the hospital?

Exercises walks around the ward. Surgeon keen for me to stay one extra day as I live in bush so sat Am pick up or Fri arvo will find more out tommorow when he visits. He rather me stay one day to long than go home one day to quick

I think they let you go here when you can get to the bathroom and back unassisted.

Some tiny hiccup was meant to have drain removed from lumbar this arvo came in and said want it left for another 24 hours and extra intravenous antibiotocs tommorow as well takkng no chances not a production line forcing in and out as quick as possible

On the positive side Canadian health care is looking for viable solutions to the fact that some people do not have access to acceptable care because they can not find a GP who will accept them in a timely fashion. So fortunately Sask Health has opened its doors to nurse practitioners and physician assistants as a possible alternative first visit provider. We are still infants in this department but people are flocking to new clinics with nurse practitioners for immediate care and I believe that the first batch of physician assistants started their training at medical college at U of S last September . Hopefully these additional primary care providers will take some of the pressure off GP’s in Saskatchewan.

My son's life, if even alive, would look very different without private care as the necessary care was/is unavailable or non-existent free.
Even the righteous would sell their soul to save their child.
All this cheap talk overlooks the standard of care that doesn't even exist or is completely out of reach where it might.

Touch wood last day in hospital, upon admission on tuesday met with team surgeon aneathatist surgery day staff and immediate post op Physio lady.
"Hi Peter good to see you again keeping your frequent flyer points up" upon chatting ive had her ever op bar very first one 15 yrs ago
Agriville helped pass the time thanks for listening some agree some dont all good.
Out of pocket expenses yep biggest ever usually loose change sub $1000 all up for various thing not so this time. Seen surgeon each morning been a good stay.

So the continuing flare ups got the better of me on fathers day to now dec 12th touch wood fixed better than 18 month/2 plus year wait

So last night staff said my call about discharge day take extra day if needed.

Got thinking probably a pointless thread in reality canada way different views on health care each country different but sadly issues similar wait times etc.
Hybrid works for me.

Follow up appointment with surgeon in 7 days then again 14 days after that. Free part of package gonna see if I can twist his arm and do video link up

They did grinding and shaving of lumbar 1.2 mm apparently.

Just on new private hospitals going up Aoran said, govt had roads schools hospital prisons water infrastructure to worry about the bucket of money not big enough private has to take up slack. Commonsense.

Some of you sharp humour and quick, well aint used bowels since monday was starting to worry about potential issues....tried plan A then B finally movement 3 am friday, well holey smokes reckon I broke the state record. Staff outside by door dont push dont push ease into it lol and the staff all characters. Pulled a drain out of spine yesterday one hand clenching rail one hand in nurses hand gonna be a rush of pain if ya gotta squeeze my hand squeeze to your hearts content, deep breathe and hold we count to 10 will pull at five brace your self. Aftermath "holyshite never gonna let a farmer squeeze my hand again" she said
