If the funds are there to build a private hospital , they are there for a public facility. Do you believe some are not deserving of care? You are better than that. I hope your recovery goes well.

I don't believe it's the same thing at all.

If the funds are there for private they’re there for public.

How is that true? Need to tax the private more to get that money for public use?

I'm not against taxes per say, although life would be nice without them, they are a necessary evil. The issue is who is in charge of their allocation. There are too many demands on tax money and there's no guarantee where it will go. Health care and schools should be Number 1 all the time and yet.... the last decade has been fully forced onto climate change BS and international support. It has dug our hole even deeper so that we are so far behind on things like health care and schooling that it's hard to even see our way out of it.

If you can't trust the government to properly allocate tax money towards public health care, then you can't say if the money is there for private it's there for public.

Private has a lot of pros that public doesn't. Typically less bureaucracy, less political impact by elections and promises and misuse of funds on a government level.

I feel like I can be safely speaking for almost everyone here when I say every one of us would be willing to donate some money to building a public facility IF we knew the money was going to go towards a public facility and not some CEO's pocket or some government redirection. But that is not the world we currently live in.

Private would be a route around government bullshit. It would come with it's own caveats sure, but they'd be different than the ones that are currently hobbling our system.

Where would you find this special pot of money to build a private hospital? Would it be from profits operating the hospital?

Like any private venture. A group of investors or a business or individual see the potential for profits.

Where do farmers find the money to build their farms? Some get it from the government, some are good businessmen who know how to make profits.

What is your expectation, that healthcare should just be about providing a service and never about making a profit or being at all self supporting?

If you are fine with Healthcare deciding to treat someone on the basis of profitability, then go private. What is the reason that the U.S. has the only for profit Healthcare system and their outcomes and costs are so bad?
