    Bit like your oil industry

A few solar farms going belly up and wind farms the same just walking away and leave the unsightly panels there. Goose that killed golden egg a bit.
As houses put solar with a battery big projects suffering.

Who cleans the mess up probably wasnt even thought slightly possible even 10 yrs ago.

It will get sorted I guess doubt they are recyclable almost a oxymoron.

Not getting into a pointless argument about energy tis a tad expensive here in our state some suggest third highest in world others say tis highest with all fees charges taxes etc added on. Think were are world leaders in take tis our hot sunny windy climate

One poor attitude is "well govt pushed us to build this site they can clean it up"

Bit of a boring topic sorry gals guys and convertibles.

If solar is going belly-up in Australia where you have virtually no ice or snow, solar has a snow ball’s in hell chance of making it here, but do you think any of these brain-dead bureaucrats are watching. No Way, they have the taxpayer on the hook for their quackery.

It’s the uptake of battery back up thats stuffed them. Occasional case people who sell power back to the grid get paid in minus dollars go figure they pay to put solar generated power back into grid think that rare but happens.
Most take little interest in the fine print anymore.

It appears if I read correctly that so many households have installed roof top solar that during the day excess power is being produced and the commercial scale solar fields are having to pay to get rid of their electricity. The only alternative is for these producers to install battery storage and then sell stored energy into the grid at night. But the cost to do this outweighs the returns. Simple reality is too much installed solar.

Oil companies have been going broke for various reasons since the beginning but did it mean the end of oil? LOL

Down Under gives us no perspective on the size of solar in Australia. And the number and scale of bankruptcies.

Of course Australians have installed massive amounts of lower cost roof top solar and its hard to sell electricity to families and homeowners that produce a lot of their own.

Add in an EV from China and suddenly Australians have a lot low cost electricity and transportation.

But in the good ole USA Trump gets rid of stricter fuel efficiency standards so consumers will burn more gas to keep the oil industry making more profit! Only in America!

You gotta love a president who thinks burning more fuel and doing less with it is a good strategy.

Is that what farmers think is a good idea? Use more inputs to get less yield and output? LOL

other interesting thing gas and diesel go up and down wild swings at times but EV fill up prices one way traffic some EV owners I know city based "thought I was meant to save money having a electric car" im no expert just passing it on. Sorry bit off topic nothing to do with clean up of solar farms. Solar Wind its viewed as "just another energy source" no huge crusade anymore to save the planet etc almost a ho hum nothing to see here topic nowadays.
