Trying to read between the lines, literally since I'm only getting the responses to chuck.
It seems he is only in favor of monopolies, manipulation and collusion as long as it is by communist dictatorships using slave labor with no environmental standards using coal power.

China has figured out they can diminish their dependence on imported fossil fuels and are investing heavily in renewables and green tech, that will lower demand.

Every energy transition before us required the services of the old energy system to build it.

Trump is trying to slow down the adoption of renewables and new technology because it threatens his big supporters profits.

He is trying to cut a trade deal with China because he has no choice but to trade with them or face an economic downturn.

Absurd 5 and company have you stopped buying stuff from China? Hell no!

You can't because they are the suppliers for most things. And they buy a lot of our grain and other exports.

But you don't like trading with China? Good luck on that!

Chuck2 does this mean you have no problem with China dominating 70 percent of the critical minerals market and 80% of the solar market but your not ok with OPEC+ dominating 35% of the crude oil market?!

Most of what you say is true, Chuck.
But China has no interest in totally moving to unreliable renewables.
They can use some because they need a much larger supply so working in solar and wind in what is a very small % of their planned expansion is quick and cheap.
Unlike our folly, their expansion services continuing demand growth. Some to supply areas than have never been fully serviced.
They aren't shuttering or tearing down anything

By far thier largest expansion comes from Coal, Gas, and Nuclear with major projects on a continuous, never ending construction schedule.
Renewables are almost token to their overall grid but give the wests climate zellots like you something to reference.
And they can supply the western economies rapid demise with "cheap" economy destroying renewable hardware

When the history books are written, it will be fascinating to see who has been bribing which politicians to destroy Western economies with renewable energy.

Follow the money further. Who benefits from collapsing western industries?

"It would be irresponsible to involve myself in a debate when I only know half the story".

Obviously, neither statement is true. You just keep them coming on here.

Saw it described as "throwing the game".

you get the feeling something screwy is going on, but nothing clear enough to take any action?
