Obviously, neither statement is true. You just keep them coming on here.

Do you think there's any difference between not getting embroiled in extremely serious accusations of pedophilia, versus the harmless accusations of supporting the Communists by a poster who proudly displays his socialist tendencies?

Only fools think that we should stick with an oil based energy system for ever! LOL

China is the second biggest economy and soon to be the biggest and they are racing ahead with electrification and renewables that will give them a strategic and economic advantage. All this while Trump is giving away soft power to them all around the developing world.

Canada has a lot of the minerals and energy that they need and the US wants.
We have lots of resources for the future economy and we should be trading more with China because the US is soon becoming no better in many ways.

Letting OPEC, or the US and China dominate us is not the path forward.

Chuck2 there is a long list of North American governments attempting to jump start renewable and battery production that have failed. Solyndra, a solar panel manufacturer received a $535 million loan guarantee from the Obama government in 2009 only to file for bankruptcy 2 years later. Quebec invested $510 million towards a $7 billion dollar battery plant only to have the Swedish parent company go broke a year later. Now Legault is fighting for his political life as polls show 80% of Quebecers want a different leader. There are many many more examples. It is very difficult to produce price competitive products when China controls the raw ingredients and our electricity and labour is far more expensive then China’s. Look at cell phones. If North America went to war with China eventually we would all have no cell phones as they all come from China. Government and industry has certainly shit the bed off shoring most important manufacturing to China.

Chuck2 a couple of articles for you. First article is about Ford’s EV division loosing $12.2 billion over the last 21/2 years, so yes even prior to Trump. The second is about the recent disbanding of the Net Zero Banking Alliance which Carney helped set up. The cards continue to fall. Governments can attempt to legislate economic direction but they are rarely right.

How the hell would you know Flipper? LOL

I have solar panels and know exactly what they cost and what they produce. And they will be paid for in about 10 years.

So take your ill informed opinion and shove it where the sun don't shine!

Solar is some of the lowest cost electricity on the planet eveywhere there is lots of sun.

Why would you not want to take advantage of it and produce your own electricity?
