I can't wait to hear your better plan than Carney's!

There's your way where the government intervenes and subsidizes over text and under employed consumers. And creates a housing bubble and inflation with irresponsible fiscal policies
Do you think you it might work to have more affluent consumers by having a strong healthy economy?
And allow builders to build affordable homes without all of the climate, sustainability etc nonsense? You want to cut insulation and go back to less efficient heating and cooling systems?
There has always been low income Canadians who couldn't afford a decent home and periods of economic challenges.
Governments invested in housing in the past. It's not sustainable that everyone can afford a new giant expensive dream home.
Housing rose in price in part because of low interest rates and easy money. Investors flooded the rising condo markets. Investors also took housing off the market for short term vacation rentals.
And Carney is also investing in the economy and moving ahead.
Danny Smith is praising his efforts but you must think she is wrong to do so?Last edited by chuckChuck; Sep 17, 2025, 07:47.

Yes you're right, chuck. Far better off to have people living in tent cities than in homes that don't meet the latest sustainability regulations.
Tents are much more efficient to heat.

That is literally where we're at today. Tent cities all across the country.
Filled with people who can't afford an actual home.
Working poor living in their cars, running their cars as a heat source. Is that energy efficient?
