Showing up on the doorstep would be out of my comfort zone, but saying hello when running into one another in the community can give sometimes give you a better impression.
In my experience, sometimes the people I was triggered by turned out to be fine people, just see things differently.

If they tell you stories about how bad thier neighbors are you have the whole story in a few sentences.

I enjoy people in general.
