Furrow you got a problem with chinese and brown south asian immigrants?

Harper and PP also allowed in significant numbers of immigrants and temporary foreign workers.

Carney and the liberals have cut international student visas, temporary foreign workers and are reducing immigration.

      So try to keep up.

"Canada is implementing cuts to both permanent immigration and the intake of temporary foreign workers, aiming to stabilize population growth and address housing and infrastructure pressures. The government has reduced permanent immigration targets for 2025 and beyond, while also setting a cap on the number of temporary resident visas issued. These changes are part of a broader strategy to manage population growth and its impact on various sectors.

      Permanent Immigration:
      • The federal government has reduced the number of permanent residents Canada aims to admit in 2025 from 500,000 to 395,000.
      • Further reductions are planned for 2026 (380,000) and 2027 (365,000).
      • This represents a significant decrease compared to previous years.
      Temporary Foreign Workers:
      • Canada is implementing a target to reduce the overall temporary resident population to 5% of the total population by the end of 2026.
      • This includes both international students and temporary foreign workers.
      • The government is also reducing the number of new temporary worker admissions.
      • For example, the number of newly admitted temporary workers is set to decrease from 367,750 in 2025 to 210,700 in 2026.
      Reasons for the Cuts:
      • The government cites the need to alleviate pressure on housing and infrastructure.
      • Rapid population growth, largely driven by immigration, has been linked to housing affordability issues and strain on public services.
      • The cuts are also intended to give provinces and territories more time to develop infrastructure and improve healthcare and housing.
      Impacts:
      • The cuts are expected to lead to a temporary population decline in 2025 and 2026 before growth resumes in 2027.
      • Businesses, particularly in sectors relying on temporary foreign workers, are expressing concerns about labor shortages and potential economic impacts."

I drive a 2023 Chevrolet Blazer. Very enjoyable to drive. Chuck2 blathers on about how EV’s are this great technological advancement. So out of interest I compared 3 specifications between a 2025 Blazer and a 2025 Blazer EV. Stats from Car and Driver on weight and price..
Blazer weighs 4310 lbs. Blazer EV weighs 5227 lbs.
        Price range Blazer $37095-$51660 USD.
Price range Blazer EV $46095-$62095 USD.
Blazer driving range(using my own real life fuel consumption) 730 km.
Blazer EV max range of top of the line 537 km.

So very simple, you pay more money for a heavier car that has 200 kms less range. But Chuck2 says we are flat earthers. An EV is much more technologically advanced. Fml!

They had no choice but to cut , cause the previous Liberal / MDP coalition left the barn door wide open . It was a huge election issue that they had to address, quadrupling the immigration was a disastrous plan on an already strained housing market , education system, health care system and other social services.
Carney had to try to put a lid on the ridiculous immigration policy of the Trudeau era

Annas Alhajji is always entertaining and enlightening.

He has data here debunking much of the myth about EV's displacing oil demand. And peak oil/gas/coal.
