We have a Chevy pickup with a 6.2.
Really like it and love that motor.
Got a recall saying bring it in for check on engine problem.
Some motors grenade on the freeway and cause traffic hazards.
Seems they had crankshafts from Mexico that were sloppy on the spec.
They use 0w-20 oil from factory to meet EPA mandates for fuel economy/emissions regs.
So the remedy for slop in the rods is go to heavier oil just like we used to do in the old days when your motor was wore out.
Or replace a few 100 thousand motors.
I suspect my truck and many others lost some appeal on the used/ trade in market?
Not sure if Trump will be able to repatriate the made in USA auto industry but I'm sure all they have now is Union assembly lines for parts from wherever they can buy them the cheapest.
Hard for me the get patriotic about automakers.

Ford is planning a completely new and lower cost electric pickup.
"So influential are the Chinese EVs, that even Ford chief executive Jim Farley has praised their superior high-tech systems and build quality. He suggested recently that if his company failed to create competitive products, there may be no Ford in the future.
To Mr. Farley’s point – and to his credit – Ford’s new EV pickup seeks to do what other legacy automakers and some pure-play EV makers have failed to do: create a high-quality vehicle with respectable range at a price that average car buyers can afford.
The engineering of the new truck is ahead of the curve and aimed directly at two of the biggest hurdles: costs and range anxiety.
The company says it has simplified the new pickup by using fewer, lighter components and streamlining systems. For example, the truck will have much less wiring than conventional models. It will also be easier to build, which means it will be faster to market and at a digestible price of about US$30,000.
To underscore its commitment to the project, Ford is spending a reported US$2-billion to retool a factory in Kentucky."

Actually good to hear
meanwhile in Canada hardly an EV being built but the liberals sacrifice a multi billion dollar wealth creating ag industry to protect a minuscule eastern Canadian EV industry that was to be filled with foreign workers while giving the Chinese a billion dollars to build ferries for B.C. .. it’s absurd already
