simple answer fossil fuels work and are reliable , and living in Canada would be extremely difficult without

There are EVs operating everywhere across Canada now. Hybrids are part of the transition.
We will use fossil fuels for a while yet where needed.
But China is driving technological change and lower cost innovation that will reduce the demand for oil and reduce emissions.
BYD is already producing lower cost better quality EVs that are cheaper to run and own than ICE vehicles.
