Hatred is not only blind but dumb.
Only he can take a valid question and wrap it in a crap sandwich.
One can't possibly expect any rational economic analysis from the poster who continually makes the preposterous and contradictory claim that investment in solar and wind is multiple times higher than real energy. That solar and wind are and will create far more jobs than real energy, and then goes on to claim they are far cheaper than reliable energy.

The tar sands benefited in the beginning from large public subsidies and continue to receive generous subsidies. Far greater than any green and EV investments.

Most recently the TMX pipeline cost $34 billion that Trudeau built to "kill" the oil industry!

And the oil industry is not covering the full cost of environmental damage and climate change it causes.

They want taxpayers to cover the cost of reclamation and climate change!

You mean an actual functioning wealth creating industry that produces tens of thousands of high paying jobs and generates a huge tax base for the government over a non existent failing one as shown in the previous posts ?
hmmmm , pull your head out of your backside chucky

But Furrow you are okay with subsidizing the oil industry that is already very profitable?

I thought the far right wanted government out of the way? LOL

And there are all kinds of jobs in the transition and green economy so you can stop with the bullshit!

And the fossil fuel industry and jobs will be still around for a awhile in the transition.

You didn't watch the Anas Alhaji video I posted while back, did you?
In the very first minute he explains where the myth of fossil fuel subsidies is calculated.
Right from the IMF, they consider all of the revenues of the fossil fuel industry worldwide that is not taxed to be a subsidy. Anything less than 100% tax on oil and gas is considered to be a subsidy. And the Chuck's lap this up and repeat it endlessly.
              Spoken like a true socialist.

I've invested cash in a series of little holes in the ground. No one involved in that play was subsidized or ever will be.
