Sounds exactly like big pharma and Covid developed by gain of function. The Chucks ignore that

That's all you got BP in the face of a really large scandal in Alberta?

The CEO of AHS was about to go to the Auditor General to raise concerns about the fact that she was being pressured to sign a contract at higher rates for a private for profit healthcare provider that just happens to be closely tied to the Premier and the UCP. Nudge nudge wink wink.

She was fired and one of Danny's high profile cabinet ministers quit over how it was being handled. And the RCMP are investigating.

And BP all you have to say is I am sick? LOL

What a lame knob you are BP!

        That all may be.
But I'm glad I've got access to private specialists no matter the introduction public or private.

Your glad that the private system will charge more and drain resources from the public system so that most Albertans will be worse off?

I'm glad my son gets private care.
He is on his way to being a productive member of society rather than live his days on AISH.
I am glad my public GP has referred me to a few private clinic consults over the years. None of which I paid for. Uncovered services at my discretion.
My recent referral involved hematology. Referred to the U of A.
Received call from a professional corp 2 months later.
It's a partially blended system here that has worked well for me.
Backlogs are not the result of blending but management.

Every procedure done outside our border bleeds revenue dollars.

Cataract surgeons here, a license to print money, millionaires. Mostly public. That's no good either?
You wouldn't allow choice of lenses over and above coverage?
You're going to get the cheapest when it's your turn?

Product choices at these various providers exist in and above coverage.

Eyes, ears, feet, internal, physio, imaging. Now we need more hip and knee.

Explain how it isn't already a mix, and that more couldn't hurt.

Our primary care system is overloaded. My GP made a critical error in my diagnosis this Mar that was picked up by a scan.
Tech that is readily available privately for non critical.

Explain how the Lada/Belarus approach to care is the only viable.
Why is care the most inefficient in Canada comparitively.
How will a regulated blend lead to pay up or die?

Forgive me but it sounds like you are bull**itting us just to argue for a perverse personal gain.
Your checkbook will come out as fast as anyone's when you or a loved one in enough pain.

First we need to compare costs between the two all in, to make a definitive statement.
Explain how the public system is drained. I'm willing to learn. Please use examples.

Of course if removing profit all that was necessary, the Post Office would be a raging success.

Canada is at the extreme left of modern medicine in the developed world with the worst outcomes.

Definitely a product of rigid ideological thinking.

U may have a point if the private companies' only customer is the government.

I can tell you my son's doctor moved here from England to be near his brother.
He claims we are 50 years behind in some aspects and the paperwork is smothering.
If his only paying customer was the govt, he would leave.
