Yes because of a price war. try to tell the whole story!

"A years-long price war in the world's largest automotive market has only continued to intensify, with carmakers continuing to cut prices and offer features previously perceived as premium, such as smart assisted driving, for free."

“On Friday, Wei Jianjun, the chairman of Great Wall Motor, warned that the Chinese auto industry had its own “Evergrande”, referring to the debt laden developer that became the centre of a liquidity crisis in China’s property sector. Now, Evergrande in the automobile industry already exists, but it has not collapsed.”
And of course your not telling the whole story Chuck2.

Look at the trends Hamloc, EV sales are growing. The day to day ups and downs are just noise.

And despite felon's terrible decisions Tesla is still selling and share prices have recovered some after tRump drove them into the ground.

tRump might even own a Tesler so they must be good! Right!

            Tesler?
Are you pretending to have a British accent today? Adding an r to the end of words that end with a vowel? Doesn't come across well in written form.

The growth in EV sales is driven by government dictate not by consumer demand. When provinces in Canada reduced or eliminated subsidies sales went down. Certainly the urban environment is more suited to EV’s from the standpoint of short commutes but where will residents of say a 5 floor apartment building charge their cars? If you live in a house with a garage, no worries, charge overnight, off you go. For an apartment dweller a gas car is much more convenient, simple reality. Of course it is also up to the government to build and supply charging stations. Around me all young families drive some form of a 3 row seating suv.

I assume you are being sarcastic.
Seems to me the private sector didn't require any government incentives to build gas stations when cars were replacing the horse.
But then that was a entirely Superior product as opposed to electric vehicles

There wouldn't be any tar sands developments in Alberta if it wasn't for government incentives and subsidies to get them going!

And the royalty rate is still very low.
