So you believe China’s auto companies are profitable do you? I would say China has been selling subsidized EV’s below cost trying to put other companies out of business. BYD shares and others down hard today as this reality sinks in. American car companies still losing money on every EV they sell and yet you think they can build lower price EV’s and make money. BYD selling lots of cars but not making a profit.

You keep saying the quiet part out loud.

Super profitable is what you were upset about you, isn't it?

Will you be happy when we're all driving Lada's?

Not all of us of course, just the select few after they wait on the waiting list for a decade.

Perhaps they can produce some lower cost cars such as this one

Is BYD not the reason for the Canadian tariffs on chinses EV’s that cause a plummet in the canola market ?

Its no secret that the big 3 make most of their profit selling luxury trucks and expensive SUVs to consumers.

But some of those consumers complain about the cost of EVs, many of which are lower cost? And they also complain about the cost of fuel and taxes. Huh?

They just bought the most expensive vehicles to own and operate and they are complaining?

In Absurd 5's weird world of imagined extremes, you don't have to buy a Lada to own a more affordable vehicle.

But I don't expect flat earth climate change deniers like A5 to ever be supportive of more efficient EVs. A5 is from Canada's dinosaur province!

You should be supporting expensive profitable luxury vehicles. You do realize that manufacturers are losing money on evs. While making money on expensive vehicles which is used to subsidize the money losing electric vehicles. Can't have one without the other.
It's like a tax. I thought you liked taxes?

Yeah thanks luxury truck owners for paying a "tax" on too much truck you don't need, that keeps union workers workin!

You should be an auto executive Chuck.
You have it figured on just how to keep the big three from going belly up again.
                      Jeopardy question for you
Guess who is Europe's largest auto maker by market cap?
Ferrari with a market cap of about $77 billion.
                      Not making Ladas.
Largest automaker by market cap is Tesla at about $1.1 trillion with a T. I'm sure he appreciates your concern.
The big 3 US are less than $150 billion total with only GM in the top 10.
They survive on fairly regular government subsidies.
Stelantis has gotten more "funding" than they are valued at.
You should get in there and teach them what people want.
                      Not EV's.
