Shopping around for a new electricity provider. As most of you probably know Albertans need to contract with an electricity retailer for power.
Yesterday the CEO of Atco Electric Nancy Southern came out strongly against the Alberta separatist movement as being bad for business investment. I thought most business people knew better than wade into controversial issues. I for one am looking for a new electricity provider.
Actually Nancy's rant is a blessing in disguise for me. Got checking into my Atco contract and the old plan has expired and am now paying over 12 cents per KWH. They will sign you up for one to five years at a fixed or floating rate. However when that term is over you get defaulted without notification to the most expensive plan they have.
A bit of research today shows most fixed contracts at around 8 cents and floating at under 7 right now. Do any agrivillers have a recommended supplier?
