I think what amuses me is that you actually think Carney will be any better for Alberta than Trudeau. I think to give you an idea of where I stand I will quote my son from yesterday. We were discussing the state of politics in Canada yesterday and he said “personally Dad I think Danielle Smith has got bigger balls than any other politician in Canada”. I couldn’t agree more.

One difference I will credit Carney on, when Justin Trudeau went to Mar o Lago to ask Trump not to impose 25% tariffs on Canada and when Trump asked him why(according to Trump) Trudeau responded “Canada would dissolve, Canada wouldn’t be able to function.” At this point Trump responded that Canada should become the 51st state, a comment that has become one of his main talking points in relation to Canada. Trudeau was a great actor and could certainly read a teleprompter, I will credit Carney with being smarter than that

I believe that a divisive leader like smith... and to some extent pierre.. would actually have a net negative effect on alberta's well being. Now is NOT the time to be dividing. You cant force indigenous populations and territories.. or people in BC to run a pipeline thru their land. You have 1 option.... you work with them or you make an offer you cant refuse.

Do i believe carney will be good for alberta? No.
can one hope? Yes.
