Great post forage.
Perfect example of how most ambassador type of positions are almost always given to closely connected friends of the current government in power.
I'm sure Trump would consider this thumbing his nose at Macron.
He probably has as much respect for him as his buddy JT, the creepy couple?
Almost as bad as the CBC guy they put up on millionaire's row in NYC.

Another waste of taxpayers money.

Thanks, just another Trump accomplishment to add to the 51st Stater's thread.

They both have no problem using taxpayer's dollars for their own gain.

That sounds more like filling the swamp than draining the swamp. How does that count as an accomplishment on par with getting rid of the carbon tax and Trudeau in canada from the original list?

Trump is supposed to be announcing what they are calling Manhattan Project 2 .
Big push to revive the nuclear energy industry.
To do it he has to nueter the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
There have only been 2 reactors built since 1974 when the NRC was established.

You can get a detailed explanation on how the NRC has made it impossible to expand nuclear power here;

https://newsletter.doomberg.com/p/actuarial-examinations

Takes a few moments out of your busy day, bur best read you will get explaining why Nuclear energy only happens in China now.

This is the first comment from a reader at the bottom of the above article:

Thank you for what you are doing and saying. I have been working as an advanced nuclear technology analyst (Generation III+ & Generation IV non-water cooled reactor technology) for almost four years via the US Department of Commerce and every single thing you have said in this piece is true. I have also done global value chain analysis on green hydrogen, offshore & onshore wind, solar, battery energy storage systems at grid-scale and books on fossil fuels and nuclear is by far the safest, most regulated and only energy source that literally cleans up after itself. It's a stunning technology and the people I have met are some of the brightest, hardest working, most environmentally conscious individuals you could imagine. They are the smartest people in the room with a technology that can give electricity almost 100 percent of the time for upwards of 100 years. You are correct as I have heard you state (and I am paraphrasing) that if aliens came down to earth they would ask - "Why aren't using more nuclear power for electricity, medicine, cancer treatments, desalinization, hydrogen, process heat, district heat, steam, etc." On top of that nuclear power deeply impacts direct, indirect, and induced job growth, wages, taxes, and supply chains. Thank you, thank you, thank you for writing about this issue! Nuclear power is the only answer for high capacity baseload electrical generation with zero emissions.

At this point Trump saying he is going to revive the Nuclear industry is somewhat similar to Carney saying he is going to make Canada an Energy Superpower.

Yet another accomplishment by Trump:

"Moody’s to slash America’s credit rating for the first time in nearly a century last week."

"The only politician who has an actual concrete plan for economic prosperity. And even generously offered to let Canada join in on the party after we ruined our own economy."

Going back to Agstar's post about the farmer going bankrupt and blaming it on Trump. “How did you go bankrupt?"
Two ways. Gradually, then suddenly.”

Do you think all of the economic problems started in 2025??

Moody’s said in a statement that it did not see a real effort by the government to cut spending, and that it expected the nation’s fiscal performance to deteriorate compared with other highly developed economies.

It also noted that President Donald's tariffs will significantly hurt the nation's long-term growth.

But, then again Ab5 you would know better than Moody's forecast, as you're endorsing Trump's "concrete plan for economic prosperity"
?
You keep reading books for your quote's, as I'll stick with Moody's
