What fentanyl problem?

Saskatoon fire crews say they’ve responded to an alarming number of overdose cases in the past week.

According to the latest update from the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health, fire crews have responded to an average of 19 overdoses per day between March 1 and 5.

This surge in overdoses follows previous incidents, with 25 cases (https://www.ctvnews.ca/saskatoon/article/saskatoon-on-high-alert-after-25-overdoses-reported-in-24-hours/) reported on Feb. 25 - 26 and 23 cases (https://www.ctvnews.ca/saskatoon/article/saskatoon-sees-23-additional-overdose-cases-in-past-24-hours/) between Feb. 28 and March 1.

“Other agencies may have responded to additional overdoses in the area. It is not known if the newly reported overdoses are from the same substances as previously reported, or a new batch of concern,” the ministry said in the updated overdose alert Wednesday.

The ministry warns of a continued high risk of overdose and death due to contaminated drugs circulating in Saskatoon.

The contaminated drugs are believed to be laced with fentanyl, benzodiazepines, and other unknown substances. They have been described as light pink or dark purple chunks and are being sold as fentanyl or other substances.

Naloxone was effective in some cases after multiple doses and medical attention was required.

According to the ministry, the effects of benzodiazepines cannot be reversed by naloxone. When mixed with fentanyl, it makes for a dangerous cocktail.

The overdose alert has been extended until March 12 at 12:00 p.m

But the international scale of illegal money flow has changed on our watch and we have been oblivious.

Oblivious, or complicit?
Looking increasingly like the latter.

There is sophisticated money laundering in Canada that supports fentanyl. There are superlabs hidden in rural areas with good access to trucking, rail and shipping which are all saturated with organized crime. Networks operate out of TO and VAN. They have effectively infiltrated multiple industries and commodity markets, using them to conceal fentanyl money.

We are so fuqed.

Look up some of the interviews Sam Cooper has done. He has researched this problem for over ten years.
Our government pretends there is nothing to see here yet people are dropping dead! Trump is the only leader that will bring it up and all the lefties say he’s crazy!

Trump should know about addiction. His son is a coke head and Elon is on ketamine.

You won’t see or catch much when you’re not looking. Same as rcmp not busting the guy selling on the corner. They want the supplier. Well the guy on the corner is the one bringing in new customers, ruining more lives daily.

There are lots of hidden costs on taxpayers.
This is a large part of the reason healthcare is overloaded.
Anyone who has spent any time in an emergency room in the evening has seen it.
Also EMT and ambulance spend a large part of their time.
Police spend much of their time on the same problems and often the same people daily. The criminals are back on the street before they have the paperwork done.
Prosecutors won't take the case and judges give them conditional release.
The jails are full and more likely to shut down than build more.

Prince Albert used to have one contractor to clean up meth houses often social housing owned by taxpayers.
Months ago that had increased to 13 new contractors with common charges $2500 to $4500 per unit even if it is only for a location that had suspected meth use.

Taxpayers pay.

I grew up in the age of lawn darts. The smart ones figured it out, the dumb ones were going to kill themselves, regardless. FAFO.

If I was a believer in quote, "accidental overdose", unquote, I'd use the same term with buying a revolver, five shells in a six shell chamber, spin it and pull the trigger. It would eventually be called an accidental overdose of lead, as I see it.

Can't save us all, so I don't know what countries expect, let alone its citizenry.
