    Excellent analogy Checking.
I have a friend in Alberta whose son was into shit street drugs. I said to her it was only a matter of time... yup, it got him.

What would it take for you to quit when your "community" is dying from overdoses around you? Its not that simple... addiction is very powerful. I guess the need to use is more powerful than the fear of dying.

    Kind of sad actually.

And yes shtferbrains... way too many "lifestyle" emergencies in the "free" healthcare system.

Nazi Germany was introduced to meth by the Japanese. Initially used to give soldiers an edge on the battlefield its use spread to the civilian population. I always wondered how the dependency was dealt with after the war. To add Nazi leadership had some hard drug problems. Goering was well known to be an opiate addict and Hitler knowingly or not knowing was administered by Dr Morel stimulants like meth and cocaine in the morning and barbiturates at night.

Soviet Russia alcohol abuse by leaders I’ve read was almost encouraged by the party to keep them pliable and to numb their senses. Gorbachev wasn’t a souse and we see what happened there.

          Boris Yeltsin was a drunk.

Putin's got to be on some heavy shit to rid his conscience of all the bodybags he sees daily.

Addictions counselor was a neighbor. Said long term only 15% ever kick meth habit.

Most can be hooked after one hit.

I will add to the the opening post , I brought this up a few weeks back.
A few local First Nations bands are now working with local RM’s to set up road blocks on the edge of their reservations to try to stop the info of fentanyl coming in .
it’s gotten to that bad of situation, and yes the cartels are involved targeting a very susceptible group with a massive amount of free cash from “cows and plows”
it’s a very serious situation for the First Nations , they are being destroyed by this .

local banks have had to put limits on cash withdrawals because government checks are being fully cashed and drawing actual cash . This money that should be doing great things is going straight out to drug dealers in many situations
                  it’s an alarming situation

Refute it if you will try , but it’s an absolute fact , it’s crazy and absolutely zero mention in any media

History won't be kind to the people who claimed the biggest threat to humanity was beneficial plant food while hundreds of thousands of people were dying from a preventable drug.
