Let's assume innocent, in jail forever it would seem, would you take a plea deal if innocent? I don't know innocent or guilty, just pondering. Supposed to be innocent till proven guilty in old Canada
Valid point. 9 instances of I believe in that short article Chuck posted.
2 years spent in political prison based on what someone "believes".
Reminds me of Chuck and his irrational "belief" in science. Spend decades and trillions of dollars destroying our economy by people who think science is something we need to believe in.

After two years i think anybody would take a deal on a very minor charge to walk out , 2 years in remand for what boils down to improper wepons storage ,and i understand 2 years in remand counts as 3 in regular jail ,needs to be a huge inquiry , the dictators needed something to use for E A , one of the 2 still inside has said he is not taking deal and will fight it out in court , special rapper used the lies to help make his judgement , a few weeks ago they could not be let out on bail because they were so dangerous ! huge thanks to Tucker for letting world know what was going on , who would ever think the once great country of canada would become so corrupt ?

So if the prosecutors had nothing on these guys then why didn't they take a plea deal too?

The evidence will all come out in the trial.
Dont you think if he was guilty he would take deal and walk free ?

Interesting that the picture of Tony Olienick is of him operating a track hoe.
Remember the two track hoes which the RCMP sabotaged during the Coutts blockade?
Perhaps not a coincidence. Maybe they did know something about their intentions which the public still does not know.
Although, I still don't see how a machine that moves 3 mph with a driver surrounded by glass is going to be very effective at storming anything.

They’ll never see an open court where facts are laid on the table.

Heres another example of a "peacefull" protestor at Coutts!
Denial of reality and the facts seems to be rampant on Agrisilly

Coutts, Alta., protester given 10 months for driving at RCMP officer

An Alberta man has been given 10 months in jail for driving his vehicle at an RCMP officer during the 2022 Coutts border protest.

James Sowery of Flagstaff County, Alta., was sentenced on Monday after he was found guilty of assault with a weapon and dangerous operation of a vehicle.

During his trial, the court heard Sowery drove his hydrovac truck toward an RCMP constable near a checkpoint on Highway 4 near Milk River on Feb. 14, 2022.
The officer testified Sowery's vehicle was travelling between 60 to 80 km/h and he had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit. The truck ran into a pylon instead, the court heard.
Sowery will serve concurrent sentences for both offences.

"Kornicki, who was not physically injured during the incident, said in his victim impact statement that the mental and emotional scars remain.

"I was in shock and reduced to tears on the side of the highway.… It is truly difficult to communicate the depth this trauma has reached after the events of the day," he said in his statement, which was delivered by one of the Crown prosecutors."

So out of the countless thousands of protestors, we are up to 1 (one) convicted case of violence. How does that square with the slander and accusations coming from the CBC at the time?

It is illegal to block traffic on any public highway or border crossing. So all the blockaders were breaking the law.

But you and all the other apologists said all the protestors were peacefull and law abiding? LOL Bullshit!

Keep them locked up with no bail. We have had enough of dangerous criminals getting catch and release.

They are not political prisoners if they have been charged with conspiracy to kill cops. That's the far rightwing going soft on their own criminals. So much for the get tough on crime approach!
