Thousands and in other countries too. Gov actually talks to farmers....not like Canada!

That's what happens when you try to take subsidies away from farmers!

They get really mad and then some still complain about the subsidies to all the other industries.

Lol , pot calling kettle black
you whine about oil subsidies constantly, yet nothing about renewable energy subsidies.

So in your opinion, farmers not paying road taxes on diesel fuel burnt in a field is a subsidy.
But an EV driving on roads exclusively not paying road tax is not a subsidy.

But we should believe everything you claim about subsidies to energy markets.

              This should have some effect:

French Farmers have announced they’ll be blocking major highways to and around Paris tomorrow. Citizens are asked to join the protest.
If the roadblocks are successful, Paris will run out of food in ± 3 days. Talking about a good reminder where your food comes from

China regime # 1 concern is always keep food adequate/affordable to placate the masses. A panic of millions equals revolution.

                  India similar but a democracy.

What would happen today if those amazon deliveries stopped coming from China?

I'm going to guess, absolutely nothing would happen.
But if food, or electricity, or natural gas, or diesel/gas, or propane stopped going into cities because the hard working taxpayers who make that happen decide to just stay home for a few days, there would be chaos.
Incredible to consider just how fragile our entire civilization really is.

Agriculture in most of the EU and North America is subsidized whether or not it is good policy.

Are the the Republicans and the CPC campaigning on cutting subsidies in order to balance the books? Hell no!

Farmers would complain like hell even though many of them don't think subsidies are good policy.

Balance books is a intelligent idea, NOT funding climate heresy on the backs of food producers.

If you believe that this is purely about subsidies, perhaps instead of reading MSM, you should speak directly with some of the farmers in Europe.
