What would happen today if those amazon deliveries stopped coming from China?

I'm going to guess, absolutely nothing would happen.
But if food, or electricity, or natural gas, or diesel/gas, or propane stopped going into cities because the hard working taxpayers who make that happen decide to just stay home for a few days, there would be chaos.
Incredible to consider just how fragile our entire civilization really is.

Agriculture in most of the EU and North America is subsidized whether or not it is good policy.

Are the the Republicans and the CPC campaigning on cutting subsidies in order to balance the books? Hell no!

Farmers would complain like hell even though many of them don't think subsidies are good policy.

clueless chuck dont know whats going on in europe , it was very bad 20 years ago when i left , far far worse now ,DNA for every animal , every field watched by satalite etc , the regulations and paper work and inspections are insane , and more coming down the line , farmers have reached breaking point

More over the top rhetoric from right wing european farmers who in some cases are supporting far right fascists? That's not a good look in Germany nor most of Europe.
But it's no surprise Crop might lean towards that intolerant side of the right wing spectrum.

Do you think the EU will keep sending subsidies if the farmers declare war? Probably not.

And the Brexit supporting farmers in the UK have lost EU Subsidies and preferential free trade access to EU markets which has caused a lot of hardship.
