I see the flat earthers who can't do science are restless!

A lot of useless frustrated mud flinging.

And more of usual flat earth comments about government and experts but no actual science or data to back it up?

Any suggestion that a warming and drying climate will cause more forest fires can't be true! LOL

All said in the middle of another hot and dry summer that has caused a record area of burned forest across Canada?

    Give up!

But I thought you told us that climate change was to blame for all of the flooding happening in the world. Now you are telling us that it is instead causing hot and dry. Are you sure you can hold both of those contradictory positions at the same time?
This theory seems more like a catch-all than a scientific principle.

That's why you have experts do the analysis who understand the complexity of the issue.

Warmer and dryer because of climate change equals more frequent and intense forest fires.
So when people say we should stop using fossil fuels completely to fight climate change, something you yourself seem to lean heavily towards, what exactly do you propose will be used to fight fires then?

Or you're assuming if we stop using fossil fuels, there will magically no longer be any fires?

I'm always curious what tools people think are used to battle these fires. What resources are used to contain such blazes? Heavy equipment? Petrochemical products? Copious amounts of fuel? PPE? Transportation to get trained personnel to fires?

How do you see any of that happening if fossil fuels are banned, Chuck? Parasailing on wind? Electric planes carrying an eighth of the water? Hemp PPE?

The largest and most successful tools we have against forest fires are heavily dependent on fossil fuels. Please tell us what the alternate would be. Somethings ready to go online immediately and be effective.

Or are there other resources that you think have been put into use with such effectiveness since 1926?

Its a long transition to reduce carbon emissions. It will take lots of time to replace all the usage of fossil fuels.

Nobody will be banning fossil fuel use without viable low emission options.

For heavy equipment the most likely choice at this point is hydrogen made from either renewable sources or using carbon capture. Alberta is working on hydrogen.

Most of the major ag manufacturers are already building hydrogen options in their prototypes. And I would assume for industrial equipment as well.

And who knows for sure what the future will bring in terms of new technology.
