Well sure. Why should they pay because you have to sell no matter what to the same group of buyers every year. They can wait you out. I wonder how much a tonne of "MALTED" barley is worth. Also, how many pounds a tonne of malt barley loses after being malted. Or the ratio of how many tonnes of barley it takes to make a tonne of malt(like 1.2:1 or what ever...unless allowable moisture is higher in the malt than the unmalted barley????)
