1.1 inches since friday. Had a 2.5 inch downpour 2 weeks ago that really packed the land coupled with the saturday of 34 degree heat. Some crop was struggling to emerge but now should break through. Hay crops looking good. No considerable frost here yet. Southwest sask west of Assiniboia. Provincal maps looking a lot like 2002.

Pouring rain today , expect 25 mm. Already 100% moisture capacity. What we need now is HEAT! I think i will phone David up to see when global warming will kick in!

Was in Brandon Manitoba today and it rained from noon on all the way their from Regina. Moosomin is extremely wet. Water every where. Brandon is wet and crops seem really late.

Sask you have had plenty of moisture earlier in the spring. I don't ever remember my first cutting of the grass in the yard to be June 9. got .4 inch so far on the week end.

Canola for the neighborhood is cotyledon to just emerging. I am not sure about the barley I don't have any myself but from past exp. I believe barley does not like a lot of frost. I expect barley to be well stunted and yields to be well below average here. Germination is all OK.
