Rain event on its way. Lentils suck

Finished peas. close to 50bu/ac. some in area as high as mid 70s. neighbour doing durum, runnning over 70. lentils are 20-45 depending on land. haven’t heard of any canola yields yet.

Looks like the wheat handled the summer better than the oats 100bu stand but empty hulls looks more like a 60-70 bu crop . Dam combines always make a lier out of a guy.

Yesterday was a wild day around Regina and Neudorf/ Crooked Lake. Afternoon storms hailed out huge tracts of monsters crops. Sad day for our friends south of Melville.

A mile south of us saw fire departments and pro-tills come running to extinguish a wildfire started by a round baler. 34 degree temps and gusty SW winds were fanning scary conditions.

Too hot and too cold meet and we’ll see what weather change looks like today. Good Luck everyone who wants to put a nice sample in the bin.

It always hails on the monster crops.

Sprayed 5:quarters of wheat yesterday, harvest for us will start 14 days from now if mother nature cooperates. For the most part wheat looks very good so far, but won’t really know until the combines start rolling. Wheat still standing nice but expecting up to 65mm in the next 2 days.

Sprayed 1/2 of our canola on friday. Well wait on the rest. Wheat is 2 weeks away so now the waiting game. Getting lots of rain so this week would be a write off anyway. Lots of planes and choppers buzzing around last few days
