Canola 50% swathed, variable, small pods, blanks, dry plants diseased probably...needed an INCH in July. But getting INCHES today!
Opposite of 2025 PERFECT harvest weather.

Hoping it makes 40...

Rain still helping us but a month earlier would have been better. Only a half inch so far but our biggest rain ?? since early July. Will start swathing and and preharvest spraying our canola sometime this week.

40 is my not often achieved record if a so so crop for me was 40 i cant comprehend how weathy [relatively ] i would be.

Rain yesterday at our south farm totals now about 2 in but there was hail between Abernethy and Lemberg.our yard had some hail ( no wind) from a storm from liptonand a half inch rain. Yesterday it was mostly a bust with 1/2 in more over the whole farm.

Weather station shows 34 mm now , never really rained here till 7 pm last night
supposed to get 80 k winds here shortly
Hopefully the rain stops before that high wind comes , cereals won’t like this

Not a pea year here at all.
Some fields died corner to corner from disease.
The rest lost 20-40% area from wet feet. At or below ci coverage. Definitely not having combine dig for every kernel. A salvage operation. Discing this fall, yuch!
First wheat sprayed yesterday.

Frost, drought, hail, rain. Either one, Saskatchewan doesn't do anything half assed.
