Capillary action is something an installer must always keep in mind when installing tin. Butyl tape on end overlaps is a must. Saw a machine on a telehandler that formed standing seam to length right from the eve. That should be the standard roofs.

Its always a fight against time.

It’s a canvas shed that’s not being used, we have a pile of old tin and excess 2 x 6 from last shed, so that’s what we’re covering. Will be just used for some tractors we’re rebuilding slowly. We have a 300 x 80 and a 140 x 70 and a 100 x50 and a shop.

With a heavy heart, I just learned that Carol Hubands passed away. She used to post on here a lot and was one of the major drivers behind getting rid of the CWB. Plus an all-around great supporter of agriculture. RIP, Carol. You were one in a million.

On way to P.A. tru melfort. Crops are brutal from watrous north with the odd exception. Canola is really bad most won’t make 25 if they don’t freeze. Will be lots in a crop insurance claim.

Drove north to Canora and the warmth. Weather thinned in the wet area also the crop plus no crop in draws. Lots of flowering canola.still

              Oh yes, Carol.

I once reached out to her on a private group chat she ran to discuss some trade issue du jour between the EU and Canada involving Mustard and GM Canola. Unfortunately, I thought using my real name would show some good will and aid in a mature discussion. She immediately used it to gleefully dox me on Agriville.

              "One in a million" indeed.

There was definitely two sides to Pars , but was always very welcome on Agriville and not nearly as toxic as a few like Chuck
she has been and will be missed , RIP

Pea yields for me so far are around 22 bpa. Hot July took yield , but happy anyways. The last three years previous , my yields combined barely made this number. Been a long stretch waiting for a decent crop around here.

Good to see that the weather pattern has changed. For over a month, every system passes just north of us.

Today, for the first time, a storm ( with hail as usual) passed just south of us instead.

Then another one split and went north and south of us.

Drowned out canola that I had written off a month ago.
Better late than never. Haven't had to deal with frozen canola for a few years.
The pictures are of Liberty link.

The pitiful dekalb Roundup ready in the drown out spots that had quit flowering quite a while ago is now branching out and flowering from the same plants that have big mature pods on them already.

As of today, the Roundup ready on well drained land looks better than the Liberty link under the same conditions. Interesting to see what the final results are.
