Friday Crop.Report on a Thursday we have only two weeks left in June

it tis what it tis. We all get our turn.
Will survive. The whole area needed this rain. Badly. Short term pain for long term gain.

Pretty sure he’s young enuf and hasn’t fought as long on the farming battlefield as we have Furrow. He will get there and realize not everyone fights the same battles in the same years. He will choose how he approaches subjects more wisely as he gets more experience and scars from that biotch Mother Nature. The older I get the more I learn how to deal with the ups and downs we face. Doesn’t make me feel any better about these situations we have to deal with but makes me understand its nothing I’ve done so I move on and try to make decisions that put me in a better position to succeed.

Ya been there long enough like many here not to point fingers at some folks in areas that had a run of bad luck , not bad farming practices.
One should be careful, we all farm in different changing weather cycles

Shared some weather stories over the fathers day campfire last night with kids and grandkids. Its a little overwhelming how a few moments of weather rain,hail, frost can throw a farm onto its ass for the rest of the year or several .We are doing ok here but its a little concerning that we had to keep fire going good to keep warm on the first day of summer.

This is a big area like this.
we were saturated at seeding due to huge snowfall

I was talking to some friends that live in Ardrossan. 7 inches so far and still raining. A total of 17 inches in June. That is a lot. We are sitting at 2.4 inches in this rain event, 5.8 inches since May 31. We had maybe 2 tenths in May. Rain has been welcome here so far but certainly a very cold month of June so far as was May.

Less than 20mm here in my part of the Peace since Apr 1, driest place in Canada on the Agricultural Canada maps. Rain passes through the region but has totally missed me. Have some spots not even germinated yet. 6th year of this.

This morning it looks like another potential large system 6-7 days out. We had hail last week can't spray non hailed as winds are stupid. Hailed stuff recovering, some got set back to zero so will be late late.

Spraying beans today, some dead some alive. Rain Tomorrow rain . Some fields still flooded .

10 day accumulated precipitation forecast looks wet, hope for those that could use it and painful for those that do not.
