Friday Crop.Report on a Thursday we have only two weeks left in June

It looks very wet east of Edmonton tonight again
Not a good situation at all for a big area there now after the last big rain event

Hard to say which is worse. Death by a thousand cuts or one big flood.

No doubt , it be rough to watch all your hard work wash away
It was a helpless feeling last fall driving around after that huge hail storm and nearly everything was wiped to the ground on the first day of harvest
But I think the mess of what your dealing with would be up there as the worst

Left was seeded before my drill left the yard.
over a week difference.
left pulls out easy. Right was a hard pull.
6 tenths last nite.

lost alot since seeding. Atleast 50%

This is a big area like this.
we were saturated at seeding due to huge snowfall

Sad part is there was a huge area in the Parkland high yield canola area last year with drought and low yields , absolutely no one cared. In fact it was said why even grow canola in those dry areas …. Such ignorance within the industry, and fellow farmers
Very few outside any weather adversary areas cares. sad but true and shown here until the shoe is on the other foot

Im not whining?
it tis what it tis. We all get our turn.
Will survive. The whole area needed this rain. Badly. Short term pain for long term gain.
