If you could order rain from the Sears catalogue during the growing season ( May 10 to August 30) what would you order?

We talked about this over a few rum and most agreed that an inch every 10 days would make most of us happy.

I already requested 3 of 1" events in May. 4 weekly 1" events in June, July and August. Which would put us just below average for those months. Instead of getting a months worth in one event, or missing an entire month like we have done a lot lately.

I just checked, and May was 1 in 40 year dry here, following a late summer/fall/winter and spring that was ~50% of normal.

Looks like we are on schedule to more than double our normal June rainfall.

This is true, we are Churchbridge/Saltcoats (south of Yorkton) and we got about 80% in. Saltcoats in particular was bad , extremely wet, probably 66% seeded and what got seeded is waterlogged/slow/lethargic. Typically our best ground and when you are floating fertilizer on floated on canola ground on Father’s day and you have to keep getting out to check if where you are got floated with seed because you can’t tell from the cab and you have a kid sitting in a tractor as the designated pull out guy a lot has gone wrong.
