Anyone shutting down the drill will have a hard time collecting wet acres from crop insurance. Don’t think it’s in the bag if you say it was too wet. They will look at the area, and if there are guys that are done seeding and you aren’t, they will try to deny you. You have to have tried your hardest. You have to have pushed til June 20th. You need to leave huge ruts in your unseeded fields to prove it was too wet. You need to have tried every crop option. You need to have left over seed and fertilizer. Crop Insurance will try their hardest to deny your wet acre claim in times like this.

Drills are shutdown already here, floater is only the only thing doing any seeding now.

You are absolutely correct. In the spring of 2018 I had 450 ACS that I couldn't get sowed, sprayer ruts full of water from one end to the other on one half section. Had to wet to seed coverage from SCIC but no payment because they said 95% of my area was seeded, so I should have been able to seed it. SCIC will not pay to wet to seed if they don't have to.

And on the opposite end of things. My brother seeded a low area that gets seeded maybe one in ten years.

Two years ago got it seeded , established nicely, sprayed in crop, then a 6.5 in rain came and flooded it in the last week of June.

No coverage. Said it only gets coverage the second year it is seeded. So now those acres don't go on the seeded acreage report.

I have one of those. A 2021 with 2500 hrs. What happened?

Neighbour had a jd4830 sprayer with less than 2000 hrs. Going down the field and boom , piston out the side of the block. Another 9870 combine , same thing. These were JD motors however. Both guys were meticulous about there machinery.

Did you delete and tune HP up? Lots of trouble happens then.
