Friday Crop report on a Thursday mid may. Where has the month gone!

Can be frustrating yep , areas north of here were even drier last year and seeding nearly non existent so far .
this area 10-50% done , how it will turn out will be interesting
we went from good conditions mid last week to the wettest I have witnessed for this time of year .
No where near as wet as NE Sask though .
Snow on ground this morning in probably 1/2 of Sask
Going to be a challenge now

From several years of experience. It is far better to have the volunteers from hail start before burnoff than try and control them in crop.

Never mind, these models change all the time, now depends what side of that line you are on. I guess current conditions may be the trend.

They predict a hotter drier summer every year ….. until it’s not. Last July was very cool , especially mid month

1st 4.5 months of 26, below normal temps..
bring on the 30 degrees.

Will be waiting a while before resuming seeding across all of northern and eastern Sask

Highway today Wadena to Humboldt, North of Clair to Fosston ...yikes snow/water/mud...looks like May 1st!

Maybe 8 quarters mudded in, a few harrowed around water, it's not pretty! 10 more days sun/wind/warm to seed reasonably/close to normal.
