Meanwhile us Canadian business owners are get screwed beacuse of Trump Irainian War, but like what's been stated on here, he's only trying to mop mistakes made by past POTUS.

So quiet here on Agriville regarding Trump's Iranian War, inputs through the roof, no outrage not even a peep, all is good out on the prairies.

Nothing at all like the praising comments towards Trump of a few months back.

    .
I think a lot of people are just sick of corruption and thought Trump was a glimmer of hope to get rid of some of it.

Is Trump out playing Carney? Ontario manufacturing looks bad.

        Bankers are getting spooked?
What looked like profitable, well run farm businesses now won't cash flow?
In the past, when the banks head office decides risk is rising shit runs down hill and a lot of customers can get caught in change in policy.
In our area there was a time when Scotia sent a mgr in that cleaned out all their farm lending.
Any farmer writing Scotia cheques was collecting interest and not paying any.
They closed branches in small towns with near new buildings.

        But that couldn't happen nowadays.
        Everything is different now.

But I'm guessing right now would be a very tough time to be shopping for new financing?

This fixation with Trump is fascinating.
He made snippets of sense until his second term.
Now he has no fks to give and is showing his age. The rebound is also worrisome.
But it's also mindboggling how events in our own country over the last decade just disappeared..... It's the sheeple at home that deserve the focus.

How the Iranians are allowed to operate in Canada is beyond me.

The alleged price fixing scheme is credited with contributing to a 60 % increase in fertilizer costs

The allegations highlight that nutrien along with others control a significant portion of fertilizer production in North America allowing them to exert influence on market pricing

Trump has said lately that he is watching fertilizer prices CLOSELY and will not accept PRICE GOUGING

what is being done in canada ? besides nutrien celebrating pride month and pride partys in the parks
The only way to teach businesses, that would do something like that, a lesson would be to make them pay the inflated portion of the price back to the people/farmers who paid it. And then the Competition Bureau would still likely err on the side of caution.

You are 100% correct. I remember being a new recruit at Head Office CIBC. Part of the orientation was to go to meetings in various departments. So I am at the executive management meeting and they are discussing what risk rating where they will draw the line on clients. I spoke up and said you know you better look at the relationship as a whole. Those operations that risk rate 1 or 2 have sons or daughters that risk rate 4 or 5. So Don't expect Mom and Dad to stay if you kick out the kids. ...

I wasn't invited back. Don't make waves when you are a newbie.
