That was done way back in the mid nineties
Seen and did research trials for 3 years
It worked , problem was if you had an abnormal warm early April the canola would germinate then a cold snap would kill it off anyway .
there was some success if conditions were just right after emergence

it was a temperature sensitive polymer
    seeded late fall

We had near perfect germination and emergence in mid April , but a harsh cold snap came in and wiped it out

I was very keen on the prospect of fall seeding till that happened

They haven't stopped looking. I think they are further ahead when they start with a frost tolerant crop.

Probably have to get away from chemical seed treatments to get higher brix in the seedlings. Higher brix is more frost tolerant.

One funny thing with winter canola in Oklahoma it’s full on flower now and heat is coming big heat. But at this time, you have northern cooler temps, and the hot south creates big storms. Hail takes out a lot. Miss a rain and extreme heat cooks it.

Oh, on the big land sale in our area, it seems big dogs can’t get financing in place but still make big deals.

Plus, three or four really big dogs are having issues.

Things are only about to get worse. Grain prices are dropping and oil is rising. Some of those operating loans are going to be pulled.

That JD Vance sure has all the tools in his lunch box when negotiating, nothing settled in Trump's Iranian War and Orban gets smoked while JD campaings for Orban in Hungary.

Let's not forget Trump's rallying phone call in support of Orban, that really sealed the deal for Orban

Meanwhile us Canadian business owners are get screwed beacuse of Trump Irainian War, but like what's been stated on here, he's only trying to mop mistakes made by past POTUS.

So quiet here on Agriville regarding Trump's Iranian War, inputs through the roof, no outrage not even a peep, all is good out on the prairies.

Nothing at all like the praising comments towards Trump of a few months back.

                .

Who would have thought doing yahoo s bidding would cause such a mess. Interdictng Iran's oil sales was the only lever. Bombing certainly hasn't worked. The only hope is to pressure Iran's oil customers into reining Iran in. If there had been a coordinated plan to isolate them., things might have ended better. Using the Gaza protocol did not work. Putting someone ,with the mind of a toddler, in charge of the world's largest military is recipe for chaos.

Trump has to find a way to pay for his war games , either take oil from Iran or charge a toll for the ships.Or both.
