Yes keep them simple that's why the old magnum with over 23000hrs is more reliable than 3 other newer tractors in the yard with less than a 1/3 of the hours. Just put the 4th joystick in the maxium ($1200) last 2 warranty thank god. Electric over hyd. can be a real pain.Neighbors say the dark and light green tractors they have the same way.

This is the definition of a no brainer. Tractors are made to do work. If you don't want them to leave an environmental footprint then don't build them. Its all about priority. Do you want them to work or not? We build the greatest civilization that anyone has ever heard of and then decide it isn't good enough.

Dry friction clutch rather outdated. But.
So glad there's loopholes on engines, for now.
These are a great fit IF.
You can be your own dealer, service, and parts supplier.
We have a Chinese payloader.
1/3 the price. Thinking maybe 1/3 the life span unless you are capable of all your own repair and parts source, or fabbing. If so, I think they're great. If you're short and have a young body.
Chinese Cummins, cross referencing numbers so far a non starter.
I've done all the pdi, service and repair so far.
If we keep it long enough, cab ac and heater systems will be in dumpster. As will all hydraulic coupling assemblies and cooler.
Main systems appear re buildable or at least, replaceable.
A number of subsystem components and all cab accessories patched on from Alibaba. Likely installed on the dock for the NA market. We carry a fuse tester and fuses in the cab.
These tractors however appear better in those areas.
Not in the same league as Belarus tho. Far from that.
Likely the Chinese can build to a price point if we ask them to. For now that's all they're doing. I have not studied these tractors too close, but our payloader is not a raging red hot bargain. An okay entry level for a young guy. If he's capable.
Again, nothing at all like Belarus. Thankfully those days are behind us.
Have seriously looked at repair/replace on our Magnum.
I won't live to see it go as long as I can get parts and a younger body can sit in the cab. I really think they are the exception to the rule for now.

Was told by the loader people the loophole is remanufactured. I dunno. China has had a Cummins plant for decades but it was taken back by the Chinese years ago so I was told.Originally posted by AlbertaFarmer5 View Post
I had a short chat with him at agritrade. And he has found the loophole by buying parts instead of whole engines and assembling here.
