I don't disagree with you its not ideal. As i said i don't support most of what the Liberals are doing. As a Conservative I am disappointed with the CPC performance since the election for the most part. There are a few exemptions. For me the thing is that if we have a poor opposition we are gonna have a poor gov't.

The Liberals took a few ideas out of P.P. 's playbook and ran with them. Between that and getting rid of what's his face they have gained ground. But do we really see any non government investment going on needed to turn things around ?And because of a war western Canada will likely be the only thing showing a positive gain thanks to gas,oil and grains. Industry still dead out east.

Would people think differently of Carney if he was the Conservative leader?
I consider myself Conservative/"Republican" but can't stand Trump.
I'd put Carney in the same camp as Mulroney, Cretien, Martin, Harper, Statesmen with functioning brains. Poilievre, as a minority would be a Campbell, Clarke, Turner, he won't last especially being seen as representing the West.

At the moment do I wish Canada had a better relationship with the U.S., absolutely. Carney could blow Trump, and Trump wouldn't be satisfied, I truly think Carney understands this. Could there be a worse PERSONALITY as POTUS? Probably not. Could there be a worse P.M.of Canada at the moment? Absolutely! Just look at what we just had, an idiot who put Canada on a decade long holiday, that is trying to recover from the hangover. Carney may not be the only remedy but it's the remedy we got and his efficacy may be multiple times better than other options. In my opinion, no one would be effective against the cause of the plague to our South, No win.

On the gun buyback. Carney is willing to spend $750 million buying guns to get more votes in Quebec and do nothing battling crime while at the same time closing agricultural research stations which pay good dividends and will save what, I have heard up to $130 million a year.

I was reading an article yesterday, CNRL is putting an $8 billion dollar investment on expanding an oilsands mine on hold, waiting to see where Carney will put the industrial carbon tax, a tax that could increase per barrel production costs by up to $10. Trudeau policies continued by stealth.

During the election Carney compared himself to Churchill, said he was the man to deal with Trump. How is that going? Looks to me the biggest accomplishment by Carney is projecting the biggest non-Covid non wartime budget in Canadian history.

I could go on but in reality we all develop our own opinions and what others say won’t change our outlook. Enjoy the day..

Your first question, would people look at Carney differently if he lead the CPC? I would say yes, because the current Liberal MP’s are 85% MP’s that served under Justin Trudeau. Guilbeault, Joly, Jonathan Wilkinson and many others, all left of centre. But typical Liberals, all Chameleons with no real beliefs except getting re-elected.

Carnage as leader of the cpc? Given that they are uniparty, I guess it is possible. The biggest problem I have with carnage is the censorship and the quashing of dissent. Then there are issues like the industrial carbon tax. Looks like communism to me. Carnage is more of a threat than trudeau as the later is a buffoon and could not get the damaging agenda to move forward any more. Carnage is a slicker salesman and was installed to advance the damaging wef agenda. I am astonished that canucks are blind to that reality. I have voted PPC for the last 3 rounds as I do not trust the cpc.

I think Carney would be a lot more palatable if he was not such a hard core WEF cheerleader
On the surface he far better than Trudeau

I don't know. He always has to break an answer into two parts without saying much.

Daniel Smith seems to handle Trump ok. No body else is in the same league. Carney is selling out Canada at an astonishing rate. Carneywatch .ca

It would be a rainy day in hell when this right of centre voter would vote for polly wag the tail conservative leader!
