Friday Cocktail first week of March and News for the week.

Good morning Canola is just about at $16.00 another great price for a crop that isn't as large as they say and it's getting crushed crushed crushed. Lots of Canola went into plants last fall at $12, remember?

Wheat up another .10 cents so far this early morning.

Spring the clocks ahead Sunday night. In Florida, we go two hours ahead of Saskatchewan. It's not that difficult, and you get more sunshine. I live in Sask in June the sun is up at 4 and most don't get up till 8 they are missing the greatest time of the day.

The war has begun and it's interesting to watch. Fuel prices up I ****ed that one but it's winter diesel so why fill and burn way more? If you're with a certain company saying they gave your product it's spring product I'm thinking let's see how much you burn. Do you know? No.

Urea is going through the roof even if most of it comes from here. This should be our time to shine over other areas of the world nope. We're going to pay just as much as them or more. Shortages will happen if the product goes south to the USA farmers.

Remember China needs oil and gas and two of its largest suppliers are gone.

Canada bet on China. Big mistake other countries will take over and fill usa needs.

We're run by idiots who bet on electricity. Trudeau one and two hated oil and created the result we have. Fourth-largest oil reserve in the world, locked in the ground due to overregulation. Internal provincial blocking. So we could be wealthy but instead we become the Mexico of the north.

Immigration is another problem look we need to end this and get back to proper imigration bringing in the best of the best and **** the rest. You don't become a superpower with idiots. Look at Trudeau how did that experiment turn out?

A big farm land sale was supposed to happen and no one knows what's going on.

Hutts are moving into Sask again up north of us with big purchases in the Watson area.

Stats CANADA is out with seeding intentions and nothing is new.

    For us it's

    5500 Canola
    4000 wheat
    600 peas
    400 barley

    Most nothing is changing.

The weather for summer looks similar to summer temps maybe more normal rain events looks like for our area may be seeding instead of April.

So what has Carney achieved for Canada in his first year?

Nothing is the answer. The sad part the eastern voters bet on him and he was a bigger bust than Trudeau but his old company sure did well.

Jolly and smart should never be in the same sentence.

Plus what's up with Carney and the war flip flopping ever day? How many bad guys do we really have living in Canada?

If I missed anything else please add. The new farm show in Regina is coming soon. Lots enjoyed it last year maybe it has a fit.

AI and farming will it replace our experts in the field who lots pay for advice. Will lawyers and real estate brokers be needed? Ask Grok to create a will for you in Sask with this many dependents split evenly and boom sign here. It froze in Florida I'm panicking about my trees asked chat GP and it said the frost event for your area that lasted 4 nights has hurt the plants but most will come back in 6 to 8 weeks then it asked me to take a photo of my Christmas palm and it said it looks alive as green trunk so just waiting. to it also told me to take the lights I had in it as they were doing more damage than good. So I did every plant and inky one needs replacement.

On land again if you're paying top dollar rent to get bigger how will that end up? Bidding for not great property just to add acres at over the going rate IMHO is not a recipe for prosperity. I agree that paying a fair rent is good but if you're 40 to 50 percent higher than that's not sustainable. It's time to put it in the neural and polish the owned dirt and clean up your rented also.

Ah it's time for a drink.

    Cherry Rose Mudslide
    ?
    Ingredients (for 1 serving)

    • 1.5 oz Kahlúa (coffee liqueur)

    • 1.5 oz Tequila Rose (strawberry cream liqueur)

    • 2 oz half-and-half (or heavy cream for extra richness)

    • Ice cubes

    • 2 maraschino cherries, for garnish

    Instructions

    1. Fill a rocks glass (or lowball glass) with ice cubes.

    2. Pour in the Kahlúa, Tequila Rose, and half-and-half.

    3. Stir gently until everything is well combined and chilled (the drink will develop a pretty swirled pinkish hue from the Tequila Rose).

    4. Garnish with 2 maraschino cherries on top (skewered on a cocktail pick if you like).

Sip and enjoy—it’s sweet, creamy, and feels a bit fancy and romantic!

    Tips/Variations

    • For a layered look (more Instagram-worthy): Pour the Kahlúa first over ice, then slowly pour the Tequila Rose over the back of a spoon, and finish by slowly adding the half-and-half on top for a swirl effect before stirring.

    • If you prefer a frozen/blended version: Add the ingredients plus 1–2 cups of ice to a blender and blend until smooth. Top with whipped cream and cherries.

    • Make it stronger: Some versions add a splash of vodka

    Enjoy.

Just said on CBC that our old planes aren't really going to be helpful in the war. No kidding.

Yea November and all fall deliveries hurt farmers bottom line. But we had one buyer and they screwed us good. I said last summer farmers filled the new plant by moosejaw with 12 dollar Canola was stupid. It happened.

Nice meteor shower over Calgary last night.

Trump continues to say Canada has nothing they need. Guess we will see. Sure nice to see China buying canola again since trump govt saying canola is unhealthy. Sold june today for 17.20. Almost half of the world’s population lives in Asia. That’s where the growth is. Just returned from 11 weeks in 9 countries in southeast Asia. They are so far ahead of us in so many aspects it’s not even funny. No welfare there you either get a job or join the army.

Would be nice to hold out for the highest prices all the time but reality is grain needs to be sold to run a farm , and every farm has different needs and timing of cash flow . Nice to see current rally , much needed for what’s left considering inputs have skyrocketed. And will not come down for next years crop so every added penny will be needed now
would be nice now to have the extra canola in the bin instead of on the ground from hail but that’s life .
Hopefully the next few years this area can get back to at least average production or god forbid at least one year of above average lol .
Agree wheat and pea prices are still way too

Did hear of a $8:00 wheat in Alberta. This morning.

Yes as inputs go ballistic not much change for this spring on all who pre bought but guess what they will keep prices stupid even if the war ends and no supply disruption.

fertilizer market is the biggest joke on the planet.
