Friday cocktail and Ag news Sask holiday week

Good morning Canola broke $15.05 yesterday for the first time in a while heading to $700.00 a ton or higher I'm thinking. But down today both soy and Canola.

The USA is pushing China: you want oil, you play ball, and guess what they are buying. Probably even helping in the war to take out the Ayatollah.

Canada's bet on China helping them is the stupidest thing we could do. We choose to give up a 1000 percent market for a few percentage points.

Now Carney wants Chinese mercenaries to fight in our military. See a pattern with him and his new world Chinese order.

Trump is protecting us maybe from that happening and yet eastern Canadians and some out west think he is the problem.

Ask Grok how strong Sask, Alberta and Yukon would be if they joined the USA and how weak BC and the east would be! It's amazing.

Voting NDP is like shooting your self I the left foot and then thinking that works so well let's do it again in our right. Checks a 14 billion deficit and Manitoba is 2 billion with a check from Ottawa of 2 billion. See a pattern voters it's the NDP.

Carla is better at baseball than politics.

Land is still moving in our area but big deal from fall still not through.

Watch prices in 46-0-0 there might be a shortage on its way, three plants go down in sequence.

Family down so a real busy week. RB auction this week lots and lots of equipment.

2024 D10 crawler sold for $1,750,000.00 usa and it left the continent.

AI is amazing I'm finding lots of uses but you need to be smart enough to ask the right questions. Cbc would never understand it at all.

It's Friday if I missed any other AG story share.

Oh the wheat breeders think Canada is failing with closures, I agree this is awful what they are doing.

Florida is changing the rules and lots of people will be moving thanks to stupid govoners in California and NY. Florida looking at dropping property taxes.

Happy Friday! ???? Nothing says “weekend vibes” like a refreshing cherry cocktail to kick things off. Cherries bring that perfect sweet-tart balance, and there are tons of great options.

Here are a few delicious, easy-to-make cherry cocktails that feel just right for celebrating the end of the week:

    1. Cherry Lime Vodka Sparkler (Light & Bubbly)

A fizzy, refreshing pick that’s easy and crowd-pleasing—great for unwinding.

    Ingredients (for 1 drink):

    • ¼ cup tart cherry juice

    • 1 oz vodka

    • 1 oz simple syrup (or adjust to taste)

    • Juice of 1 lime

    • Ice

    • 5 oz Champagne or sparkling wine

    • Fresh cherries for garnish

    Instructions:

    1. Add the tart cherry juice, vodka, simple syrup, and lime juice to a cocktail shaker with ice.

    2. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds.

    3. Strain into an ice-filled glass (a wine glass works nicely).

    4. Top with Champagne/sparkling wine and stir gently.

    5. Garnish with fresh cherries

Funny last night on the number four highway a sink hole developed one car slid into it I think and road shut down for a couple hours then they shifted the traffic around and worked all night by 3 pm today. Road looks like new and traffic is moving it was four lanes wide.

In Canada they would study the road, spend a million on consultants then build a million dollar road around and work till freeze up fixing then you bounce through all winter and finally a year out they fix by next summer.

        Am I right or wrong.

        We're not the same.

        Trump loses the tariff war,

Carney and his groupies hit the airwaves and media call it a win.

All they did was show him th proper way to implement them following a 1974 decision. Add a few more percentages and it's all back in.

That isn't how you negotiate liberals it was called a prayer and no understanding.

Not that easy. He will need congressional approval for any lasting tariffs.

Can’t be soon enough to see that moron down south leave, I’ve no use for someone that invents new lies every day. I don’t know how the average American can support such BS as they watch decades of good will been destroyed by a demented leader. My rant for today, flame away, hell will freeze over before before I would ever vote to become part of the USA. Breaking away from eastern Canada unless we can get a better deal might be in our best interests.

Our current leader seems to be making a lot of promises but until he actually follows through on some of these commitments he gets a D minus on my report card. Maybe I need one of Saskfarmer’s drinks to chill out.

One man alone cannot possess that much stupidity. He obviously must have surrounded himself with like minded people. Could have the GOP chosen a worse messenger? If he wasn't leader of one of the world's largest economies and superpowers it would be laughable and he would be considered just an idiotic crackpot.
Sadly, his MAGA mantra, will be exactly the cliche the once honorable USA will need when his term is up. Even some Republicans are getting tired of him and his team's antics. They appear to be moving towards the status of an alienated island than a co-operative member of an archipelago.

TACT, DIPLOMACY AND STATESMANSHIP are NOT his strong suits. It's the country he is leading that gives him his power, certainly not his lack of credibility along with his narcissistic, arrogant, entitled personality.

Yup, flame away.... my opinion must make me a Liberal/Democrat....

The only concern members of the GOP ever had regarding Trump was social media.

                  The country came second.

                  Add

First B.C. then Manitoba, and now the Yukon has to be thrown in the Western seperation conversation.

I guess you figured the Yukon could somehow serve as a port to move your Canola to the Pacfic.

                  Talk about grasping for straws.

Trump knew he didn't have the authority to impose his tariffs. Republican controled congress knew trump didn't have the authority. Only congress can impose taxes. Congress should have said no to trump & could have imposed the tariffs & they would be legal. Now the USA is in a huge pickle having to repay $200 billion to the importer.. The consumer (actual payer) will never see a penny from it.

The tariffs trump is going to impose can only last 150 days. It now looks as if congress won't support tariffs especially those imposed on Canada.

SF Keeping in mind trump says there nothing he needs from Canada, Please tell us the deal you would negotiate with trump.
