Producer article quoting realtor Tim Hammond admitted that mediocre farmland is heading to lower price levels. This is the bulk of the openly traded market for land. There is still demand for the best land and this is not surprising as that happened the last time land declined significantly as well. Guess the summer will tell whether or not Monette raised enough cash to farm all the remaining land or not. Could be some land growing weeds this summer for the lack of a solvent renter.

The FCC report is out.
I don't suppose the drop in BC values of anything to do with Indigenous land claims.
British Columbia saw an average provincial decrease of 1.7 per cent.
B.C.’s drop was a stark reversal from the 11.3 per cent spike it had in 2024. It was most pronounced in the Kootenay region in the province’s southeast, with a 21.1 per cent decline in the average cultivated land value.
