" As kids, we loved hard work, picking rocks, bales, shoveling grain, cleaning bins, weird, eh?"

We was POOR...Cow manure daily all winter, hogs same, chickens manure...then feed/water them all manually, ZERO mechanization, some of us not animal people!

That's first things that left farm when we had a say.

In laws LOVED the animals, what ever makes your day. Must try for happy balance.

After reading this, I feel like I lived a really priviledged farm kid life.

We took a one (1) single family vacation all the way to Cypress Hills when we were kids. Dad even came, kicking and screaming all the way.

My brother and sisters partook in multiple after school activities, I was even enrolled in grub scouts and beef 4-H briefly. All against dad's will.

Our longest family vacation when I was a kid was a day trip to Hudson Bay Saskatchewan, first time I ever saw a real forest, it was a Sunday and we were back for chores before dark.

Most Sundays we went to Madge Lake fishing and picnicking.Us kids patched up a boat with fibreglass and made it water-worthy (surprisingly).
Sunday was family day and a special time that we will always remember. ( 3-4 Kids with their fishing lines all tangled). It took a lot of patience to deal with those excursions.

Over 62000 views, got to be a record!

Just by tying the three combinations together, Monette Farms, regurgitating of childhoods, and the tribal belief system.

                An obvious interconnection.

You missed the biggest factor in the popularity of a thread about the speculated demise of someone successful.

                  Schadenfreude.

                    Like clickbait.
They obviously didn't take it too seriously or we might have seen some new posters?
Was the same on a Monsanto thread.
Just a popular search subject on the whole internet.

The thread about Trudeau being a pervert was pretty big numbers.
