Back in the very early days of Agriville, before Farms.com, there was a guy called 'cowman' who posted: Profit is an opinion, cashflow is a fact'. That's what trips up a lot of ag ventures, especially grain. Grain production is capital intensive, historically low revenues. I thought maybe Monette would last because he was diversifying and trying to vertically integrate but time caught up with him and there are probably better areas to make the attempt than the Palliser triangle. I'm hearing there are some of the more established operations that are having the same issue, just not on the same scale and not as severe yet.
