It’s quiet simple , if they won’t deal with Chinese tariffs to support a fake Canadian EV industry then the Canadian liberal government needs to supply direct monetary support to canola and pulse growers for disruption of our markets .

not sure why the reluctance from a farmer such as yourself

Everyone wants to bitch about em

. But if they can give the middle finger to USA and 13 billion worth of soybeans annual purchase...

Then what hope do we have.

        Seriously.

        drop ev tariffs? Then what.
Will they drop the canola tariff when they just bought 1 trillion zillion soybeans from south americ a? Theres a very strong possibility that china doesnt buy a lick of soy from usa if they can make it til brazils harvest in feb .

How do we, a country of 0 people compared to china.. deal with the giant economy that they are?

        Playing hardball doesnt work
        See; trump

So is softball the answer here?
China is to Australia what the USA is to Canada.
Right nearby and their largest trading partner?

China does not seem like a relationship buyer.
And yet at home they only trust and respect the people they have had a relationship with.
Like old school mates or army buddies

Canada certainly isn't as big a deal to them as they are to us.
We need them to clean up surpluses.

Here's another way to view it.

When they tariff or embargo something they need they just move it through thier belt and road.
          No problems.

I guess it's like we won't buy from JD CASE IH and New Holland at there lot price but we pick up the same steel at RB auction at a discount.

Canola yields around here start with 2s or 3s.

Can you imagine if the Canadian government actually cared about the massive wealth creating industry like ag ?
nope just support dead weight tax gobbling failed industries out east

I actually haven’t researched it but I did hear the government is paying somewhere around $2 a bushel on soybeans. The U.S. government appears to acknowledge they bear some responsibility for the Chinese not buying any American Soybeans at present. In Canada if your west of the Ontario Manitoba border you really don’t matter.
