Good used combines are flooding the market here and auction prices are down 20% or so on them
not a reset but at least some reprieve from two years ago
new still crazy but that’s for a select few in various areas
what is going on here as harvest wraps up is the areas with very decent crop south of here are looking at replacing , for example, 3 combines with 2 big ones and 50 ft headers
its happening as these new big NH and Case combines are proving to be that much bigger than anything currently on the market.
From demos done , is very apparent there will be a fit on larger farms to replace older machines , downsize units and manpower and still be farther ahead .
interesting fall

Million $ + combines at least you can appreciate and understand the level of complexity of the machine. It’s the $100k+ grain augers and $300k+ grain carts by comparison that make you think there are some serious manufacturing efficiencies being missed.
