Wow where did the month go?
Last weeks rain delayed lots of harvest till Saturday in our area most started with Canola and switched back to wheat on Tuesday. We should be done wheat in Saturday then on to the last 3000 acres of Canola.
I'm not going to say it yet but the year of the tenth is interesting for sure. We have no bumper but a good average crop.
Wet ground from last fall, A tenth a week, High humidity, smoke, mist, heavy dew plus only a handful of days over 30 C. Helped. Good black dirt.
Here is the crop report.
Oh first Con Carney you bet on a fake EV industry and choose to destroy a healthy Canola industry, you hand out cash all over the world and we get a ****ing loan if we have grain, we are not part of Canada.
Harvest on our farm has hit the 64% mark and a good 10 days we should be getting to the finish line. The weather looks good so far for another week or so.
Most are into Canola or just finishing up the wheat harvest in our area. A few small guys are done.
I love mega farms, it's workers trying to be farmers.
They Lit bush piles in a dryer fall what could go wrong??
Hrs is almost done and for our area it's no bumper but a good average crop mostly [NODE="1"]Home[/NODE] and now some [NODE="2"]Forum[/NODE] Test weight is high 68 plus with high protein.
Durum harvest is done with some not bad yields but we are at the edge of durum country. Usually get down graded because of moisture.
Our early Barley is picked for malt and will move next month. Later seeded and green feed coming off now. Good yields on barley.
Peas and lentils are long done and prices are dropping fast. Peas hit a floor of under 7 but moved back a little. Thanks Ottawa we lost $2.50 a bushel thanks to you. Any more ****ing loans?
Flax harvest has started with average yields. Organic looks weak this year for yield.
Canola most have just started or a bit into it when wheat was so tough. Yields all over the map field to field. It will be a average at best. Hearing some areas that were really wet since spring no better than us or just a little better. One area has big hitters this year south of battleford. But the bug traditional Canola ground still is down. So my new adjusted yield is 20.6 mt.
Pasture is a nice greener colour and last fields of green feed are getting cut. No real frost yet.
If this is climate change I'm all in.
Have a great week and stay safe. Prices suck I know.
