Farmers need to protest. No one hears the mutants. Why should canola and Lentils growers sit quietly by, farm representatives aren’t doing a thing, so why don’t we get on our oldest tractors and mount some horns.

Here is something I do know.
1988 - Grant Devine mortgages the province to save agriculture. It was a good bet by him.
Many in ag representation don't realize they have been allowed to farm because of that .
So when I see these generational farmers sitting on boards , I take them as slightly retarded when they talk about not needing an acreage payment or help from the government.

Many on here won’t remember prairie pools but they lobbied hard in the 90s for farmers. Held a rally at sask place with 20000 farmers. Now we prob don’t have 20000 active farmers in existance. Bto told me he tries for 50 bucks net an acre. He farms 28000 acres. Said he will hit that this year, he isn’t complaining.

Thats the mentality that sunk several very large farms in this neck of the woods .
all great until they lose $150-200 / ac , run those numbers on big acres …… your done
