Finished my first crop of several days ago. Surprisingly yielded well. Just changed back to small wire concaves yesterday. Hope to start wheat in coming days. Not holding out much for it. Too much early dryness. Some pockets look fantastic but lots with small heads and shriveled kernels. Canola, who knows. It’s all over the place. Think it’ll be a year you pull into a field and the wheat does 30 then you hit another and it does 50+. Another note I baled some pea straw and it out yielded my greenfeed for bales 2 to 1.

Will basis ever get better? Wish I knew.
Options on a hedge-able crop to me, cheaper than temporary storage and interest costs.
